Beatrix is our beloved rolling home. She’s a 2000 Chevy Express, extended wheel base with a high top.
Beatrix spent most of her life as a wheelchair access van in a government fleet. Then she was owned by a residential contractor for a while until we finally met her in Portland, Oregon.
Over the course of a year and some change, we outfitted Beatrix with everything needed to live long-term: bed, table, sink with running water, water filtration system, gas stove, solar electric system, roof vent/fan, awning, and plenty of storage. We are currently working on documenting the conversion process which you can follow here.
